Deauty Box for IU - November 2014

For those who don't know what a Deauty box is, it is a monthly subscription for beauty boxes which contains 4 to 6 products (travel sizes/full sizes) for 16,95€ per month (it's a shame that they've increased their price! It was 15€ last year). I personally took a subscription for 3 months just to test it out because I thought that the concept was really interesting ! 

This box contains : 

1. Dermalex, crème mains réparatrice 25 ml (full size) 

I actually really like this brand (I use their bodymilk for dry & sensitive skin, and it has become a must-have for me) so I was really pleased when I got this. You know when you wash your hands in public restrooms and your hands will then be so dry because of the damn soap? This will come in handy. 

2. Bodysol, stick à lèvres SOS réparateur (full size) 

3. Bodysol, stick à lèvres Orchidée (full size) 

It doesn't bother me to have two lip products, but two lip balms from the same brand? Too bad... I would have loved to have a lipstick instead of one of these. 

4. Arkogélules, levures de bière, ongles et cheveux, 45 gélules (full size) 

I've always wanted to try and take complements for my hair. But since I've got short hair, it won't be so much of a use. And now that is winter time, I'd rather take vitamins than this ! This will have to wait until middle of next year ! 

5. Phyto, phytokératine, shampooing réparateur 25 ml

My hair was so soft after I've washed it with this shampoo (but used with a conditioner). I might purchase this when my hair's long enough. 

6. Weleda, bain relaxant à la lavande 80 ml 

I.. I don't have a bath tub. 

7. Indemne, déboutonnez-moi 5 ml (travel size) 

Totally had no idea how to use it so I had to look up on their website and it claims to be  "A spicy and herbal formula that unclogs skin pores and fades imperfections. It fights against acne for young and any age alike with 7 essential oils including Lemon, Carrot seeds, Cinnamon bark, green Oregano.." . 

8. Neutrogena, deep moisture bodylotion 15 ml

Super moisturising, quite thick. But my skin isn't that dry so I don't think I'd purchase it. BUT still useful for my elbows and knees ! 

9. Dermalex, cold cream 15 ml 

Again, love this brand but it's being a bit repetitive, don't you think?  

In conclusion, this was an okay-box. Not too bad, not superb either. I hope that my next boxes will contain products from Caudalie, Essie, Estée Lauder, Giorgio Armani, Kérastase, Khiel's, Shiseido, Shu Uemura & YSL ! (soooo demanding, I know right?!)

Splurging on Korres products !

So I've first heard about "Korres" from american Youtubers such as Bethany Mota & Michelle Phan :) 

Korres is a Greek brand that claims to provide "beauty products based on natural active ingredients and high value organic extracts".

I was so excited when I found the shop by coincidence when I was on my way to work !

This is what I've purchased: 

Bergamot Pear body lotion

This. Smells. So. Freakin'. Good ! It has a sweet light scent, plus it is non-greasy and non-sticky. The skin absorbs and dries quite quickly so you don't have to worry about your clothes being sort of "glued" to your body. 

Price : 16,00€

92,3% natural content : this contains NO mineral oil, petrolatum, silicones, parabens, propylene glycol, ethanolamines, PEG, SLES, ALES, synthetic dye, phtalates, polycyclic musks, alcohol, retinol, anymal by-products, animal testing. 

Contains fragrance, pH-neutrals, wheat/nuts (added or traces) and it is suitable for vegetarians/vegans. 

Pomegranate cleansing scrub 

This is for oily/combination skin, unfortunately my own skin type ! When I first applied it, the scent reminded me of almonds ("what the heck Kaitlyn is your nose out of order?" Yes. No. Maybe. I just know that it reminds me of that sweet almonds smell.) 

Price : 9,35€

86% natural content : this contains NO mineral oil, petrolatum, silicones, parabens, propylene glycol, ethanolamines, SLES, ALES, phtalates, synthetic dye, alcohol, retinol, nuts, animal by-products, animal testing.

Contains PEG, fragrance, pH neutral, wheat and it is suitable for vegans.

Pomegranate/grenade lip butter 

It has a very very very light scent. It is a tinted lip butter so it has a tiny bit of coverage (sheer), you can try to build it up but the colour won't be like BAM-in-your-face type of colour. 

Price : 10,15€

This contains no mineral oil, silicone and ethanolamine.

Guava lipstick in n°17

I don't normally go towards pink shades but this one really caught my attention ! It's a sort of dark peachy pink (I know I'm the best at describing colours). The finish is like the MAC cremesheen lipsticks. It doesn't dry my lips so yay for the moisturising part ! 

Price : 17,35€

This contains no mineral oil, silicone, propylene glycol and ethanolamine. 

Yoghurt moisturising mask

I actually received this one as a little gift from the saleslady (who is so friendly by the way) ! It's for normal to combination skin - I really liked it, my face felt clean and hydrated. 

I actually don't know the price for this one, but I think it's the same price as the grenade scrub (9,35€)

ALL OF THESE PRODUCTS HAVE BEEN DERMATOLOGICALLY TESTED
